Since I am awake....

I will blog. What is new?
The last few days have been a blur. We opened Tuesday to a flurry of customers. I think people were hard up for a yarn fix. It was wonderfully reassuring to me. Wednesday was busier than Tuesday and today was slow but steady.
I get kind of freaked out by the slowness. I knew it would happen but it's more calming for me when I am super busy.
Michael has been in daycare for the past 2 days. He hasn't been to daycare in over a year so it has been a little traumatic for him. He will be going to work with me tomorrow. I think I plan to only have him at daycare for 2 days a week...maybe three depending on the flow of customers this month. We are closed Sunday and Monday, so it really helps to have him in daycare on Wed. and Thur....it's not so bad. I think he is sad when he is at the daycare but I know he is being well taken care of. Besides, they make nicer lunches for him than I do!
Business is hard work but rewarding. I have met so many new people! I will be more excited once we get some new yarn shipped in. I am loving life....that's the update!

Hooray! Do you order on a set schedule? Or continually order? Or are you still figuring that part out? Sounds like fun! And I'm sure Mikey will also start having fun at daycare... Glad to hear a happy update!!

Will you be open in between Christmas and New Year's? I'm coming back for Christmas and would love to see it!

Mikey will totally adjust (I remember how traumatic it was for YOU in Alaska, and he totally adjusted!) It will be even easier now because you can actually EXPLAIN stuff to him!

I'm with Joanna in wondering how many hours you work, etc. Are you there every minute it is open? Is it exhausting? Do you have employees? I can't believe you have figured all this stuff out. It sounds harder than rocket science to me! It is really cool!
