We got one of those Bissell carpet sweepers when we felt the crumbs winning (no dog and no will to pull out the vacuum 20 times a day). But even so I'm not sure we're winning now...
I know, I have a constant battle with my kitchen floor. No matter how much I clean it, it ALWAYS looks dirty to me. Even with Lilly around, it just doens't look like our floor in AK before kids.
It's one of the prices we pay to have our sweet babies!
In our house, I also have a similar shop vac as Katie and Tracy. But, in the car, YUCK. I just cleaned Ashlyn's car seat. I took it apart, taking out multiple layers of foam under the cover. How do crumbs get under that many layers? It is gross.

You need a Shop Vac (aka a Golden Retriever!) We have very few crumbs, but lots of dog saliva, thanks to her! :)
I can't win the battle against clutter!
I agree with Katie... get a dog.
If you don't want a dog, get a handy little dustbuster.
