The weekend....

I have no pictures and not really even a good story it's just that I had a really nice weekend and wanted to share.
Thursday night was a Kevin Fowler concert. It was awesome. We worked the door and didn't tend bar that night since we switched venues. That gave us bar tenders more free time. We got to hang out backstage for most of the show which was nice. I didn't have to compete with anyone to see the stage. Also, being able to go backstage whenever you want is kind of fun. I got home @ 4 that morning. Mikey woke up at 6:30...you do the math.

Friday night we had a girl's night. We went to the neighborhood Applebee's and had cosmos, caramel appletinis, and pomegranate martinis. Then we headed our butts to watch Sex and The City Movie. We all really enjoyed it. Afterwards we went down to our local bar and had some beers and red draws. I got home at 1:30 and went to bed at 2am...Mikey got up at 6:30.

Saturday, my little family (Mike and Scott) went to run some errands and to eat. I had to be at work (The Neon Spur) by 5 to get it ready for a private party. I just love the girls I work with. I have my girl friends but I really have a LOT of guy friends. Guy friends are nice because you can just say shit and their feelings don't get hurt. Plus they never care what I wear and they appreciate my whiskey drinking skillz. The reason I love the girls at The Spur is because these are also girls that can hang with the guys. We can call each other awful names and not be hurt or shocked by it. They are the group I can be crude and rude with after being nice and not saying one cuss word all day with Mikey. It was just nice.

Sunday was a super nap day. I let Scott sleep in but after our yummy lunch I headed to my bed. I caught up on days of sleep on Sunday.

I think the heat here is killer. That doesn't help with being exhausted. Ok, well we have a big day of Chuck E. Cheeses for lunch then a nap. Sometimes being a stay at home has it's perks.....nap time.

Wow. I have to say, that sounds about as unappealing to me as anything I can possibly imagine!! And also, what is a red draw?

I'm glad you're having fun, though!

Just for the record: The naps and the movie are right up my alley...just not the getting by on 2 hours sleep!

Yes but I'm not pregnant, which sounds unappealing to me right now. Maybe someday...not now. A red draw is beer and tomato juice. Not everyone likes them...but when you do it's not a like...it's a love.

It is weird to me that all you mostly blog about is going out and getting drunk with your friends. What about your family?

The best thing about a blog is that when you have site meter you can see who wrote what and when!

I love my site meter. The "anonymous" person keeps checking the blog to see if anyone responded. Nice.

Apparently I need one of those site meters for my anonymous people.

I wish I could go out and have a few red draws. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in Basrah, thanks to the Brits. Next time, have one for me - those that judge be damned.

Is it a full beer and a splash of tomato juice? Or half and half? Spicy V8 or just Campbells? I think it might be worth trying...
