This week...

This week we are watching our friend Thana's little 7 months old. You forget how much they can't do compared to a toddler. It's been interesting so far, but good. I am not ready for a 2nd baby and neither is Michael. You can't help but love her because she is so sweet and cute. Michael feels differently....Don't get me wrong. When she first gets here he loves on her and tries to hug and kiss her. He often pets her during the day while saying "niiiiiiice baby" (Nighhhhhh Bay-Bay). But when she starts to cry he runs around SCREAMING! When I hold her, he wants to be held. When she has a bottle, he lies down with her and drinks his sippy cup. I can definitely see how big of a transition it is for firstborns when they are young and a new sibling comes home. Especially when they are too young to really understand what is going on. Anyways, here are some non-screaming times. The first picture is generally how Michael feels about having a little one here.

I am so worried about how Ashlyn is going to react to our 2nd. I'm glad that I have a few more months. Right now, she seems so fascinated with babies, but I don't know how she'll feel when they don't go home!

Wow. He looks super pissed off in that first picture!!! I am terrified of having another. It seems scary! Except, I am more worried about how I will react. That whole not sleeping thing? Ugh.

Gosh, I can't even imagine a second right now! I'm sure all first borns go through a rough transition once they have to share mom.
