Butterfly Conservatory (picture overload!)

Over the weekend I drug my little family (plus some friends) out to the Butterfly Conservatory. It was very neat. We are all not sure it lives up to the 5 million dollar budget they had to create it, it was very educational though. There are tons of different butterflies and abundant plant life all enclosed in glass. When we first entered the facility we thought that the temperature wasn't so bad, after a few minutes without cloud cover it really started to warm up.
Michael loves all things flying so we though he would really enjoy it. At first, I thought it would be just Mikey and I. Scott pulled through at the last minute. Scott does not, I repeat, does NOT enjoy the heat. To get him out of the house past 10 a.m. in the Texas summer heat is no easy task. I think the Mikey/Mommy pouty face worked though. I even got him to take pictures. I apologize if they don't rock as well as mine do. I did manage to take 2 pictures...These first two of Mikey are ones that I took. The rest are all Scotty's!
Note: I love the fact that most toddler's are oblivious to flash photography. It's just one of those neat things...the ability to not care what's going on. I love this because I can get him just being his nice self.
Some type of butterfly....The butterflies we actually hard to photograph. They were pretty skiddish.

There is a butterfly on the the flower to the right of us!I love how toddlers can be stationary one second and in full motion the next!

Michael in front of the Chrysalis house. The butterflies on the open door were almost ready to take flight. They just needed their wings to dry.
One butterfly let me hold her.
It was a fun day. The End.

I love how you have the shirt on that I love! Did you get tons of compliments or what? It looks SO good on you!

Oh, and I think it's neat that you went there. I love doing educational things like that every now and then...good on ya!

Michael is just getting more and more handsome (and I didn't even think that was POSSIBLE!) I love the second one and the second to last one. Scott is too a good photographer!
