The most boringest 4th of July ever.
It really, really was boring. I didn't know of anyone who had any plans to do anything for the 4th. Most everything was cancelled due to the flooding in this town. Instead, I watched the fireworks from my backyard. We live right at the city limits so there were all sorts of people setting off fireworks. I could even see the ones in a town about 10 miles north of my backyard. My back yard is a huge pasture which makes things easy to see. Michael slept during all the fireworks being set off illegally in the neighborhood, Scott went inside to work on his paper for school (besides he was being eaten alive by the mosquitoes), and Jack and I watched the show. This week isn't all a bust. My beautiful sock yarn came in! Hurray for me! Here is another picture from the big swinging event. Me and my love Mr.Babies!

Sounds a lot like our 4th of July. I just read a book, The Shop on Blossom Street, that was about knitting. It was so cute, I really enjoyed it. Knitting sounds like a fun hobby. Unfortunately I'm busy enough with my hobbies for now. Once the girls are older I may try it out!
Besides having guests here, that was the ONLY exciting thing about our 4th. I wish I would have made more of an effort to take Salem to see the fireworks. I guess there is always next year!
I guess this horrible weather is messing up lots of plans. At least you got to see the fireworks.
