Spending more time with mom....

I should really title all of my blogs "Spending time with mom" since it's what we do. Yesterday we made another trip to Lowe's. I might have a home improvement store shopping addiction. I went Monday and Tuesday...I don't have any plans for today though but I might just have to stop by to see what's new since yesterday! Just kidding. Yesterday was nice because we went to lunch with our friends Sam and Karoline then we headed to Lowe's. Michael fell asleep on the way home. I love when this happens because I can transfer him from the car to my bed (for some reason he wakes up immediately if I put him in his crib) and he will sleep for HOURS. While he did that I started removing the old hardware from the bathroom. I thought that by the time he woke up I would have already replaced the circa 1980's brass towel bar, towel ring, and toilet paper holder. It turns out that the previous owners of this house really LOVED wall anchors! I ended up having to use the good old joint compound to close up some of the holes in the walls.
Anyways, I did get the new toilet paper roller thingy up, but not without some help from Mr. Babies. At least this is a little more masculine than the high heels. Also, I know it doesn't seem like we ever put pants on him but we do, I swear. It's just that when we get home from errands we are hot and yucky and when I change his diaper the pants are off. I just don't have the energy to chase him to try to get them back on. Especially if we are just going to be home for the rest of the day! Notice the fine cover up I did between the hardware I installed.

See mama, this is where the screw goes in....

Like so...

You go, girl!!! What the hell is joint compound? I think I need to learn what it is. Does it cover those plastic wall anchors, or do you have to rip those out?

We do the same thing with no pants/no shirt on the toddler. Just no damn point half the time. Y'all look too cute!

We had a home depot/lowes addiction too when we moved into our first home. Not so much now since we moved on base! I'm glad to see Mickey doing some manly work:)
