Yesterday was spouse taxi day at Scott's squadron. I was totally planning on going but the event started at 8:30 and Mikey's school starts at 9:00. I called my best friend Karen and she said she would come over in the morning and take Mikey to school. I forgot to call the school and the teacher to let them know that Mikey would be dropped off by my friend (who is on the pick-up list) and that he would be picked up at noon (to go to the wing picnic) instead of at 3pm. I called Mikey's teacher at 7:50ish...she answered sounding sleepy. I was thinking to myself that she should be up already if she has to be at work in less than hour. I go ahead and start explaining the situation and tell her Mikey will be dropped off and picked up by Karen. She says, "That's great, but I'm not there."
I say, "I know you're not there yet. I meant later when you get to work"
She: "No, I mean, I'm not there.
Me: "I'm not following,"
She: "I'm not there, I'm in Arizona."
Me: "Oh my, I didn't know that. I am so sorry! (I look at the time)Shit, it's 5:50 there! Oh God, I am so sorry. I had no idea. Shit.
She: "I know." (Luckily she is very sweet and doesn't seem offended by my shocking swearing. I need to not do that, and when speaking with church figures I usually don't. I was just feeling so bad that I woke her up on her vacation.)

I have often thought about how I should have my own reality show....I don't know if anyone would want to watch though. I mean, other than you.
I can't believe you have your teacher's CELL number? Wow. She is brave. (I don't have as much as an email for Becca's teacher)... And you're funny. How were you supposed to know she's in Arizona!? WHY is she in Arizona? She should be there teaching Mikey!
