Questions....

Andrea brought up a very valid point. I do not in general like children. It is true that in Alaska, I would set off Scott's car alarm to scare kids loitering near my house. I make myself laugh so hard. Those were fun times.
I should tell you though, that I like small children. I love my friend's children and lately haven't cringed when I think of / go to Chuck E. Cheese's. I originally went to school for a teaching degree and wouldn't have as long to go before I finished it.
My questions for you are: Do you know much about geosciences? Would this be a bad degree to have since we (the world) are looking for alternative fuel sources? Should I take the easy road and just finish what I started or try something new that I would be more likely to use.

My other question has to do with the blog:Do you know how to make my picture in my header fit better?

I don't know anything about geosciences. I think you should go for a degree in something you really have an interest in/passion for as opposed to something you think will be marketable. Of course, having an interest in something with a job attached at the end would be nice. As for the header, I think you might have to resize the picture to the height you want the header to be before you upload it to change the header dimensions... but I'm not positive. (And I remember that story of the car alarm and loitering kids, too... too funny! You just might make a great teacher!)

As a fellow non-fan of (most) children and a person with a degree in Environmental Geology, I say....I'm VERY GLAD I'm not a teacher. That is all.

I agree with Joanna...you should major in something that interests you. Period. End of story. Because chances are the jobs you end up with will have nothing to do with your degree (in my case, Public Relations)--unless you do education. Then, you're just screwed because you'll be teaching. Kids. Ew.

Oh. What about photography? Marketable, you seem to enjoy it, you can work with kids if you want to!

Use a program like "irfanview" (it is downloadable) to resize your picture. The smaller ones will fit into the border better. I have also found panoramic type cuts work better - so maybe crop the photo.

As for a major, I would agree with the ladies - find your passion. Maybe you can still get the ed degree, but focus your specialty on environmental sciences or something to get the younger generations excited about our environment.

Or you could go into business and try again with the store. That encompasses both passions - knitting and socializing! Just because it didn't work out before doesn't mean it won't work out in the future... unless you realized you didn't really like doing that, aside from any craziness going on around it.
