So many things to tell. Don't know where to start.
I guess I will start telling you about rehearsal. I got there on time, I have been getting to rehearsal early. I think I have been secretly hoping that everyone else would be early and that there would be no farting around, and I could get home before 11. Imagine my surprise when there were people on time other than me and the director! So we get going, it's going along semi smoothly except for this group of girls that consistently goof off...that's another story. We do this one number and the director then decides that he doesn't really need me there for that scene. I wasted almost 3 hours there and I didn't have to be there. Talk about aggravated. They are going through the same number tonight so I am not going! I can sit here and knit instead. (Yeah right, with Mikey and Scott, I am going to sit here and knit, ha ha ha ha, stomach hurting from all the laughing....) Since I was let go early and so were a few of the other whores, we went for some beer at a pub just a few blocks away.
On the home front, Mikey slept on a twin mattress on the floor last night. Michael is a very restless sleeper. He kicks and turns and flips in his sleep. I wanted the mattress on the floor so that if he falls off, he isn't falling very far. We have Scott's old twin bed from when he was young. We have an old mattress, but until we buy a new one this weekend, Mike will have to cope. Since I was at rehearsal Scott put Mikey to bed. Scott said that Michael hated the sheet and wanted only his blanket. The night was much better with a toddler that woke up and quietly made his way to our room at 4 am. There was no screaming and crying. There was no wresting him to lie down in his crib. There was no tantrum. Just quiet sleeping. It was nice to only have to get up once. Now if I can get Mikey to STAY in the bed. Hmmmmmm.
On a side note, we aren't quite sure how Michael was able to escape the crib. I imagine he was diving head first. Scott thinks he tried to climb out and fell. I like my more urgent and dramatic version better.

Good luck... we moved Daniel out of the crib over 2 months ago and there is has not been one night that he has not gotten in bed with us!!
We ordered a memory foam mattress from amazon for less than $200 and it is wonderful! We also ordered a rail to put on it too. We moved Etta to the twin during a nap and made her cry it out the first two or three days before she started to sleep on it without any problems. After a week or so she started sleeping at night in the bed then we moved it up into the actual frame. She's been doing great since. We close the door so she has to stay in her room. Every once in awhile (nap time) she gets out of bed and plays before falling asleep on the floor. Once she's asleep I go in and put her in the bed. Hope it's this easy of a transition for Chloe in the future! Good luck.
I can't even believe he just went to sleep on the floor mattress! I'm pretty sure Becca would have just gotten off and run out the door in two seconds! Cute that he came into your room at 4 a.m. Does he just go back to sleep in your bed? I'm so jealous!
