I just want to take a moment to say how much I love the Olympics. It brings back those feeling of being a kid, watching the Olympics with my sisters...then begging mom to let us be in gymnastics...or swimming....or whatever we thought was cool. If your children are old enough to want to watch the Olympics, do they get excited and eager. Michael likes the swimming but that's about it. I should totally be in bed...it's almost midnight, but instead I'm watching men's gymnastics. I'm hooked and have even stopped doing dishes at night so I won't miss any games. Gross, huh?

On a different note, my little family is heading to Minnesota for a wedding. I think it's a great excuse to get out of the heat and an opportunity for Michael to see his Gran, Gramps, Ali, Aunt Jessi, and Uncle Jared. We ended up getting plane tickets so I won't have to worry about how many times we will have to stop to let Michael use the potty. Scott and I were originally going to drive up (yikes). I am worried he will be scared about peeing on the plane. So far, he hasn't had any problems using public toilets. ( I was worried about that because some of my friend's children wouldn't use public restrooms).
I haven't flown in a while and can't think of "new" stuff to keep him entertained. Maybe I will buy Toy Story 2 and pack the DVD player. I am not excited about being limited to what I can pack though...it's scary for me since I always over pack. I never know what mood I will be in so I pack for every mood or occasion possible. I need more versatile outfits that can go from hanging out and running errands to still looking presentable for dinner. Ok, I'm going to take some Tylenol PM and get some rest...and yes I bought them with a coupon. :)

Yes, we have the public bathroom fear here, too. I think it freaked her out the first time in (where else!?) McDonald's when I flushed and it was SOOOOOOOOOO loud. So, now she just holds it and does the pee pee dance in public. Nothing like being out with your crotch grabbing kid.....

I'm glad you're flying. It will totally be easier! I went to Target last time and bought TONS of new small toys and art project stuff. It isn't economically friendly to do that, but it is WORTH IT. Good luck!

I was thrilled that Alan is not afraid of public restrooms. Holly on the other hand refuses to use an automatic toilet. I just want to say I used to love the Olympics as a kid whne I could and would watch everything all day long. Now it seems I can't stay awake to even watch the stuff I want to see. Who decided it was a good idea to have them on til midnight?
