Done and done...

It took less than 10 days. We all know how terrible I am at blogging so I'm just now getting around to it. I have, what I think, is another migraine coming on so I will be brief. Big surprise, huh?

Michael is in big boy underwear and has been accident free for 2 days. We can go out in public and everything without diapers. I keep a pair of shorts and extra underwear in the cars so in the event there is an accident, we are ok. I haven't needed them yet. I just tell the girls at the gym child care that he is potty training and it's fine. The first day at the gym they called me out of my workout cause he wouldn't pee for them. He did go for me and I went back to working out.

I am so proud. He isn't even 2 1/2 and we are done with diapers. We didn't use pull-ups and had very few accidents. We averaged about 1 accident a day....it was usually contributed to being busy. He just didn't want to go if we had people over because he was worried he would miss something. Also, he would go potty for me much easier than for Scott. I don't think Scott asked as often as I did. Scott caught on quickly though and has been a very good Daddy when it comes to showing how to hold and shake and other boy things.

We are going to make a very long road trip next month so that should be interesting...I'm pretty sure we will have to bring the potty with us. The thought of that makes me gag.

I will blog next week. This weekend my best friend Karen and I are leaving for Ft. Worth to see my dear friend Martha and Elizabeth...not to mention go to the Journey/Cheap Trick/Heart concert. And for you haters out there: No, I am not taking my kid or my husband, and yes I will be drinking, yet again.

Wow! Did you use something for rewards? Or just suggest and he just went? Lucky you!

No rewards...in the beginning I used m&m's. Then I started using things to my advantage. He would ask to watch Cars and I would say, "Ok, let's go potty before we watch cars." He would just say, "Ok, I go peepee in potty, I'n a watsh Cars, ok, mommy?"

GREAT JOB, Mikey! I am glad it is going well!

We were almost fully there, and then somehow have regressed again. No accidents, but lots of pee pee dancing, crotch grabbing and refusing to go...just holding it all day and crying about it. Awesome.
