Did you ever want to have different jobs? For instance, I always wanted to work in an office in a cubicle. I always know I will hate it but I just want to be able to have that in my repertoire or things that I have experienced.
I have already worked for a dentist. He was The Devil....so were his employees, with the exception of 2 girls. I worked there to help pay for my wedding. I quit after making enough money.
I wanted to be a teller (just to see the customers and interact with people), a lawyer (decided against it because it just seems like a job where you figure out how to lie "ethically" (oxymoron, I know), a marine biologist (turns out I don't like being in the sun for too long), a bartender, a teacher, a dancer, and a few other things.
This weekend I am actually going to tend bar! I should say that by tending bar I won't be making drinks...just opening the beers. Easy! I am an expert at that!
I just happen to have a few acquaintances with an owner of a local bar (actually it's more like a concert venue for red dirt- Texas country music) and she needed help on big concert nights. This weekend is Casey Donahew.
I am excited because it's an outdoor venue and I won't totally smell like smoke. I will smell like beer, dirt, and smoke.
I go out every weekend with my girlfriends anyways.....so why not make some money? Should be fun to don the cowboy boots and denim skirt. Pictures to come.
It's crazy how you revert to your roots when you move back home. This is the exact same boot I own.

Hope you have fun opening beers this weekend. I often think about jobs and if I went back to work what would I do. Certainly won't be teaching. Too much work for too little pay. I haven't blogged about it yet but I've been mystery shopping which has been entertaining and sometimes lucrative. Something to add to your list of jobs to ponder.

I wanted to be a vet, teacher, nurse, employed mathematician of some kind, or a backup singer for Jimmy Buffett. I was a waitress during college and while I could do that again, I'm not sure I'd want to.
Beertending sounds fun for a night. Going out with the girls on the weekends is probably fun too. No wonder you haven't been posting lots of knitting projects lately!
I happen to enjoy my little cubicle. Remember, its not that it's a cubicle, its what you do while your in your cubicle that makes a job great. I always wanted to be nurse. But they sometimes have crappy hours and don't get paid that much. Plus, I don't do gross!
I always wanted to be a 2nd grade teacher! I still think it'd be fun but I think I'll compromise now and be a school nurse :) BTW,
I want your social life! I think... Do your parents keep Mikey for you a lot? I wonder what that's like... :)
