Who knew we used so much water. I am sure plenty of you were informed since many of you are quite well educated. I knew we used a ton of water and that I am guilty of wasting water but didn't realize the extent. No wonder so many people "save the flush"...that's gross. Sorry for another hippie post.

We let it mellow when it's yellow! Yeah, it's kind of gross but it's our way of conserving.
Sickos. You can get low water volume toilets these days - even waterless urinals.
Did you watch the video Chad...even low flow toilets use 1.6 gallons of water, while developing countries use 1.3 gallons of water per person/day. Crazy!
We don't flush every time either. It drives my mom crazy when she visits and she mocks us and whatnot. I go through the house and check the toilets when people (adults)come over. I used to use a dishpan in the sink and use dish water to water the garden. And we used to catch the condensate from the AC in pans, too. I got a little obsessive for awhile and had to let go a little.
If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down.
I just threw up in my mouth a little.....
But, one day we will have full blown wars over water. Mark my words.
