Audition part 2 and Shy...

Well, Monday night wasn't too much different from Sunday night. I got there and we listen to the pianist play a song for 3 times then we had to sing solo, one by one. I hate that I was #2 cause I didn't pick up the songs that fast. It would have been nice to have been #20 because then I would get to hear the songs 19 more times before it was my turn. I have never learned to read music. I sing by ear. I hear it, then repeat it. I cannot look at music and know what that black circle connected to a flag sounds like. I didn't know what a rest looked like until Sunday night. Also, as it turns out I start singing very loud and on key, but for some reason I start getting more nervous the longer I go on. The quality of sound coming out of my mouth quickly decreases. I know this is happening and get more nervous that I am singing badly. This then affects my singing tempo. It turns into a vocal car wreck. You can't avert your ears even though it's terrible, and because it's so terrible, you can't believe it's so horrendous. You therefore have to listen longer! You know it's bad, but you can't help but listen.
Anyways, we sang then had to do the dance we learned on Sunday night. I didn't remember the dance so I faked it. Well, that must have been impressive because the director sent a handful of us girls downstairs to learn yet another dance. We came back upstairs and danced the new number, then the director actually had me read lines. I have never acted before so I was extremely nervous! Then I was told to check the website and to go home. The verdict would be online sometime on Wednesday.

If you know me, you know I am anything but patient. I peeked in tonight, just to make sure (I know it's Tuesday night!). Well I made it! I actually have a part. There is a character, with lines, and her own name. It doesn't just say "Mona's Girls (names assigned later)", it doesn't just say "Townspeople".
It says.... wait for it...you know what's coming up don't you?

I am one of eight main characters. Funny, since I thought for sure I was not even going to be a "Townspeople".
