Angel Baby!

If someone ever thought Michael was an angel, they were right! Why? Michael slept on the first leg of the trip to Minnesota, played quietly and well during the two hours layover in Dallas. He was even better when our flight was delayed for another two. He was excellent when we sat on the tarmac for another 30 minutes. He sat in his seat for the duration of the flight. He walked with me to the bathroom once and didn't beg to keep running around ( I imagine the odor of the restroom helped with that). He just hopped back up in his seat and played. He didn't grip once when our flight that was supposed to land at 9:20 didn't land until 10...(like he knew what was going on.) Michael fell asleep before the landing gear hit the landing strip. He proceeded to be cheerful while waiting almost an hour in baggage claim. He then slept all the way to my in-laws house.
We had the best time when it could have been a day of pure hell. We talked, played, and laughed so much that my tummy hurt and my eyes watered. There are some days that I want to pull my hair out and beat myself silly because I can't leave the house cause Mikey is in a bad mood. I don't pull or beat because I know there are so many more good days than terrible ones. Yesterday was one of those days that made being a mother so much better than anything else I could be or want to imagine to be. Also, sometime this week when he is tearing up the house, or a store, or kicking and screaming in a crowded restaurant, I can look back on Saturday and not want to cause bodily injury to anyone.

What an incredible trip! It is amazing that sometimes, like during delays, the little ones are the best behaved.
