The Elephant in The Room...

I haven't told hardly anyone other than family.

I guess I have not been out spoken because I am hoping the problem will go away on it's own.

It is apparent that it is not.

We have had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad plumbing issue. It started 9 weeks ago. That is correct 9 whole f*n weeks.

One Thursday 9 weeks ago I was taking a shower. The water wasn't draining. I thought that perhaps it was a hair clog or just a slow drain. I cut my shower short and got out. As I was drying my hair I heard a gurgling noise. It was the shower....phew maybe it wasn't really anything at all. On Friday I took another shower ( I shower every day, I am funny that way). The same thing happened. Again I didn't think much of it and walked away. 1:30 am Saturday morning. Scott and I are sleeping in our bed, next to our master bathroom. We awoke to a gush! The toilet was gushing sewage everywhere! DIGUSTING! Poop, fecal matter, shit, caca...you name it it was on our bathroom floor. We called the plumber. "Sure we can come out....is it an emergency....it will be $150/an hour. Uhhhh we can wait until tomorrow. So we did. 12 thrown out towels later a plumber comes out..
To make a long story short we haven't been able to use our washing machine, dishwasher or our master bathroom for almost 10 weeks....and guess what. Since it's the holidays we won't get to until January.
There is about 15-20 ft of water under the house....I should say 15 feet long not deep. So there. it's out. I feel better.....not really, but in January I will.

I'm so sorry to hear about your trouble. I just got done with a pluming issue that kept us in a hotel for a month on top of a complete bathroom remodel because of it... so I feel your pain. good luck with all of that.

Something similar happened at my house on Hooper when we were in high school. Apparently the metal plumbing under the house corroded and caused a build up of water under the house. When enough water would build up, it would come back up through the washing machine. We were in a hotel for 3 weeks while the plumber tore up the floors, foundation, etc, to replace the piping. Loads of fun.

Oh no! That is terrible. Anything dealing with sewage/septic is bad!
