OMG! Total genius baby!

Again, not a surprise that I think my babe is a total genius. To once again prove my point here is a little story:

Last night, I was putting Mikey to bed in the usual fashion. We do bath, lotion up, diaper, jammies, nursing, tooth brushing, and then read 2 stories. When we read we always point out the things that we are talking about. ( I am sure all parents do this, but you never know...) I am a sucker for Michael so instead of immediately banishing him to his crib for the evening(like his heartless father, ok sorry that was dramatic and harsh...I don't really mean it but it was for effect ya'll), I let him play with his books as long as it's a mellow time.

Recently Michael has been pointing at everything. I mean everything. (God, I hope he doesn't become one of those kids who never talks and just points and cries until they get what they want, I will just be mortified! sorry, tangent.) So last night when we were looking at books he put the book on his lap, opened up the book, and proceeded to point to the words while babbling, then pointing at the pictures while babbling! How freakin' smart is that?!? He is not even 11 months old and can read. OK, so he wasn't reading but he was simulating it pretty darn well. *gush* I swear he is sooooooo a genius. If he isn't smart, he is definitely way cute. That scene of him pretending to read could melt ice. Ice, People!
