Costa Rica Days 5 & 6

Day 5 was fun for us but boring for a reader. We sat by the pool and went to the beach and did some touristy shopping and went out to eat. It was H-E-A-V-E-N! I loved that day.

Day 6 was so cool. We went to the National Rain Forest. It was very interesting. White sands beaches about 50 yards from the rain forest. We saw both 2 & 3 toed sloths, kapuchin monkeys, Jesus Christ lizards (they can run on water), neat land dwelling crabs, parrots, toucans, giant bamboo trees, and other strange lizards.

As you can imagine it's pretty tough to get shots of the wildlife. The sloths were pretty far up in the trees, the lizards are quick, except for the fearless iguana above, and the monkeys would let you peek at them, then scuttle off to their hiding places. I didn't have a high powered lens so it was difficult to catch them on camera. After that long guided tour we got home in time to see this scarlet headed macaw on the property. Wouldn't you figure!
