Crazy Christmas! (and more)

First of all Merry Christmas to you or Happy Holidays...whichever you prefer. I prefer Merry Christmas so booyah. Warning: This post will be long since I haven't updated for a couple of days.
This was Michael's first Christmas and it was pretty much everything you could imagine it would be. It snowed, it was cold, and Michael didn't open any of his presents...he just sat there looking on with glee while we did all the hard work. Then he of course, just wanted to play with the boxes. That was until we made the mistake of showing him how the toys work. Music, piano banging, animal noises and boxes everywhere. It is most definitely enough to make your head spin (or at least give you a minor headache). Both sets of grandparents were very generous this year.

Hmmm, what is this? A box? For me? Who cares what's inside! But Momma, I want the box!
Michael loves his new toys so much that we are not having a good time getting him down for a nap. As we speak, the babe is standing up in his crib throwing a tantrum and screaming. With the craziness of today ,it should only last a few more minutes before he realizes what we have known for the past hour and a half...that he is tired. I am hoping that all the stimulation is enough to make him sleep for more than 30minutes.Update: Michael slept for 32 minutes, be careful what you hope for.

I loooove me some books! This year we had 4 other people over for Christmas morning. Scott made his famous biscuits and gravy, Jake (Yoda) made the eggs, and Travis (Wilf) brought chocolate. We had Colombian coffee from a source not to be named and so much fun. You could only come to Christmas breakfast/present opening if you came in your jammies and did not get ready for the day...It was fun but explains my ugliness. ( I am not a girl who can go without makeup...yikes!
The Aftermath! Scott is tired.

For knitters only:Overall Christmas was great! I got a new knitting bag, another Rowan book, a needle/notions organizer and new yarn. It's enough to make yet another scarf for myself and enough yarn to make something from the Rowan book. The yarn is on the pattern that it goes with. If you are not a knitter and read this anyways (Shame on you) I also got some things not knitting related that I equally love...gift cards, a new alarm clock, flannel pj's. Oh yeah, and a trip to COSTA RICA!!

On another knitting note: These are the socks are knit for Scott for Christmas. I heart knitting forever.
Plus, I know this is true (The I heart knitting part) because the other night I dreamt that I got a knitting related tattoo. Me = Weirdo.

Hey...Merry Christmas. It sounds like you guys had a wonderful time. A trip to Costa Rica? When will take be? You'll have so much fun. Plus, trips always make good blogs. Looks like Michael has enough toys to last him awhile. Etta's grandparents were generous as well. I'll have to get pictures up soon. Talk to you later.

Merry Christmas! Sounds like you had a great one! I love the idea of having people over only if you stay in your PJ's...very cool!
